Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day

This past weekend the GreenDrop team had the amazing opportunity to participate in one the oldest parades in the county, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Philadelphia.

Now in it’s 246th year the celebration honors the culture and history of Irish people and their patron St. Patrick, a former slave who became an unforgettable leader.

Gearing up for Spring: Our next wave of clothing drives

Last week we celebrated our year anniversary with our partner charity the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia. In our short time together we’ve accomplished so much. We can’t wait to see what the year 2016 has in store for our partnership.

We’re gearing up for another busy spring of clothing drives to help support this great organization and its missiIMG_1123on. Our donation process makes it fast and easy for our donors to give to their favorite charities. Whether our donors are scheduling a home pickup or dropping off at a GreenDrop location our team handles all the heavy lifting and provides a tax-receipt.

Our clothing drives with our partner charity the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia adhere to that same fast and easy process our donors have grown to expect. Check out the list of drives coming up to see if there is a drive happening in your area.

Poverty awareness month

Did you know 1 in 6 Americans live in poverty? The 46 million people living in poverty are struggling to get the most basic of necessities like food and shelter. That is why our partner charity the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia works hard to help our neighbors in need.

The Voice of the Poor (VOP), the advocacy arm of the Society is made up of members that strive to bring attention to issues critical to those living in poverty and need.

GreenDrop and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Philadelphia have changed the way people help their neighbors in need by offering donors 3 ways to give.
