Started by two local residents in 2010, the annual College Park Day festival aims to showcase the people, business, and community groups that call the city home. This year, we’re proud to be one of their newest sponsors, showing the nearly 28,000 residents the easiest way to donate lightly used clothing and household goods.
Taking place this Saturday from 11am – 3pm, the event will be chock full of vendors showing off their crafts, food trucks, live music, and so much more! Be sure to keep your eyes on the main stage, which will be hosting music throughout the day, a pet parade with a special guest appearance from The Oriole Bird, as well as high flying acrobatics and dancing.
If you’re looking for some outdoor exercise before the winter comes, the event will feature a rock wall, a 5K, a fire rescue obstacle course, and an extreme air bungee! The event features free parking for guests, but residents can bring their bikes to the Proteus Bike Shop for a free bike check and fall 10-mile bike ride with friends and neighbors!
And don’t worry Terrapin fans, College Park Day has you covered. The TerPride bus, courtesy of the University of Maryland, will be streaming UMD vs. Indiana on the big screen at 1:30pm.
